Kylie Jenner Denies Having Plastic Surgeries; The Public Disagrees
At 21, Kylie Jenner is the world’s youngest billionaire. The cosmetic mogul has largely made her fortune due to her infamous “Kylie Lip Kits“, which have cemented her as a lip icon, $29 at a time.
But when looking at the youngest Kardashian’s transformation from a thin-lipped Arya-Stark looking teenager, to the Angelina Jolie-esque, plump-to-a-perfection lip icon that she is today, many can’t help but speculate how much of that is really the oily makeup.
“People think I fully went under the knife and completely reconstructed my face, which is completely false,” Jenner said in a recent Paper magazine special. “I’m terrified! I would never. They don’t understand what good hair and makeup and, like, fillers, can really do.”
However, experts disagree, and many speculate the young icon to have surgery as young as 16. In an interview ET, plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer estimates that Kylie “likely had Juvederm Ultra or Restylane injected”. He assumed about 1 to 2 syringes worth, which would likely cost $2,000.
Kylie Jenner has admitted to having her lip fillers removed last year, when she commented on a instagram post “I got rid of all my filler”, in response to a fan commenting, “she looks like the old Kylie here idk why”. However that was the first mention of her even having them in the first place (a claim which she had vehemently denied).
Lip fillers themselves only last 6 to 12 months, so getting them removed is only slightly faster than letting the body absorb it by itself. For context, a lip filler is an injection of hyaluronic acid gel, formed to the shape of the lip. When they are “removed” an enzyme is injected into the area, breaking down the remaining hyaluronic acid molecules.
Dr. Shafer also believes regardless of the filler removal, there’s still likely some residual material left in Kylie’s lip. As for the rest of her surgery, what’s she’s had done is anyone’s guess.
For now, Kylie’s keeping it tight lipped.
